On this day in 2016. I first visited the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo (Tsar's Village) in 1989. It is named not for My Lady, Ekaterina the Great, but for the wife of Peter the Great. My Lady cared not for the architecture of this palace describing it as "too marshmallow fluff". Regardless of My Lady's opinion of the exterior decor, I was still in awe because she made history here. Her footsteps walked these very grounds! Upon arriving on my second visit to the palace in 2016, despite being
