I’ve noticed a growing trend of people calling Pilates “strength training.” While Pilates does use resistance, it doesn’t deliver the same stimulus or benefits as progressive strength training… and it’s not meant to. Maybe I’m biased, but nothing replaces strength training. It’s the foundation for building and maintaining muscle and bone density as we age 🙏 Both have benefits, they just serve different purposes.
