The Great Cedar (Cedrus libani) at Painshill is thought to be the largest multi-stemmed tree of its kind in Europe🌳 Originating from the mountainous regions of Syria, Turkey and Lebanon, the Great Cedar was planted at Painshill by Charles Hamilton to draw the eye of the visitor and create a dramatic moment in a view.
