The university of technology of Delft has a rich history based in Delft. At first, only Civil Engineering was taught in Delft, but as the university grew, different specializations were added to the program, one of which Mechanical Engineering. The Koninklijke Academie was founded on 8 January 1842, Head quarters located on the Oude Delft 95. This school faced several problems and made place for the Polytechnical school in 1864 which provided education on a higher level ( more like the current u
