An incredible comeback 🦅 The marsh harrier is a spectacular bird of prey that we’re thrilled to see regularly at Carlton Marshes and a number of our other nature reserves. Made extinct in Britain by persecution in the 19th century, the current population has grown from a single breeding in Suffolk in 1971. Over the last 50 years, the species has doubled the extent of its breeding range, extending further north and west with pairs occasionally recorded as far as Scotland. 🎥 footage captured on
