Sometimes incredible fishing moments happen when the fish aren’t biting at all. Last week I watched these three stripers rest motionlessly in water so clear I could see every detail. Their fins barely moving, gills working slowly, completely at peace in their shallow water sanctuary. ⁠ ⁠ It’s a side of these magnificent predators that challenges everything we think we know about striper behavior. Moments like this remind me why I’m so passionate about our fisheries and the complex creatures that
