Jan 13, 2019 · My 2 TB Seagate external hard disk (Seagate Backup Plus Slim / STDR2000200 ) is not detecting on windows 10 PC. The light in the HDD is turning on and the USB connection sound can be heard in the PC when connecting. But its not showing up on 'This PC' and in disk management. It is showing up on the 'device and printers' in control panel.

At first it behaved normally, transferring data at the expected USB 3.0 speeds (50MB/sec and up.) But now it's started behaving weirdly. At first it will transfer at 40MB/sec and up but after a minute or so, the transfer rate will drop precipitously.

Feb 8, 2016 · Easiest solution is just hide the files or folders with a software that can hide them. I have never been a fan of encryption software, the hassle of trying to recover your files if something goes wrong is not worth the trouble.

I could access files and it worked as expected. A little later, I was transferring data to the drive. It was a large amount of data and so I went away from the computer.
