Hulu’s “Washington Black” takes a historical setting populated by a primarily Black cast and gives it a Jules Verne-ian epic twist.

Hulu's Washington Black is certainly full of heart, but even with a few welcome changes, it can't help but feel watered down from its novel.

"Your legacy isn't just the work that you do, it's the opportunities that you create for other people," Sterling K. Brown told Newsweek.
