SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — New details have emerged as the San Diego County Superior Court has issued an arrest warrant for Yolanda Marodi, the wife of Cal Fire Captain Rebecca Marodi, who was killed at her home on Feb. 17.

As the investigation continues, CAL FIRE San Diego has initiated efforts to provide financial support to the Marodi family through the CAL FIRE Benevolent Fund.

Marodi was the primary caregiver of her 77-year-old mother, who lived with her in Ramona. Her sudden passing left her family facing immense grief and uncertainty, the Cal Fire San Diego Benevolent Fund stated. Authorities asked for help Monday to find an ex-con suspected of killing her wife, a veteran state firefighter, at the victim’s Ramona home — more than 20 years after pleading guilty in the slaying of her estranged husband.

Rebecca Marodi, 49, died after suffering several stab wounds last week. Investigators identified her wife as a suspect.
