Rookie Quinn Ewers threw two touchdown passes to fuel the visiting Miami Dolphins to a 24-17 preseason victory over the Detroit Lions on Saturday. Ewers, a seventh-round pick out of Texas, completed 11 of 17 passes for 116 yards and tossed 15- and 8-yard scoring strikes to Theo Wease Jr.

On Saturday, in a preseason game against the Detroit Lions, Ewers put himself on the board with his first career NFL touchdown pass. It came with just over 4-and-a-half minutes played in the 3rd quarter, as the former Texas QB connected with Theo Wease Jr. as the Dolphins tied the game at 14.
