The preparations for the upcoming budget have begun, and the schedule for the Pre-Budget Meetings has been announced. These meetings will help decide the budget allocation for different sectors.

Why? Well, because the typical slot for the Union Budget speech is February 1st. In 2025, this happens to be a Saturday. So, the big question on everyone’s mind – Will Nirmala Sitharaman present the Union Budget on a Saturday? The short answer is – Yes!

Sitharaman has so far held a series of meetings with various stakeholders, including with MSMEs, farmers associations, and economists.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired the fourth Pre-Budget Consultation meeting with stakeholders from the export, trade, and industry sectors in preparation for the Union Budget 2025-26.

The Union Budget 2025-26, which will be the eight consecutive Budget to be presented by Sitharaman, will be tabled in Parliament on February 1.
