The New Orleans Pelicans had one pick in this year’s draft. The Pelicans, who already owned the No. 7 overall selection in the draft, now own the No. 23 pick. The Pelicans acquired the extra pick in a trade Tuesday with the Indiana Pacers, according to an ESPN report.

Joe Dumars did not let luck box him and the New Orleans Pelicans in as the 2025 NBA Draft approaches. Last month, the Pelicans fell to seventh in the draft order after having the fifth-best odds before the lottery.

The Raptors received the 2026 first-round pick when Pascal Siakam was traded to Indiana in January of 2024. Charania also reports that the Pelicans receive the rights to Mojave King in the deal. The first round of the 2025 NBA Draft is set for Wednesday, June 25th at 7 p.m. on WGNO.
