NASCAR’s Bobby Allison died Saturday at the age of 86. Allison was known for being a member of the Alabama Gang, a Hueytown-based NASCAR group famous for three decades of racing.

Bobby Allison, the 1983 NASCAR Cup Series champion and a member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the age of 86. Allison won 85 times in NASCAR‘s premier series between 1986 and 1988.
