CLEVELAND (WKBN) — The Cleveland Guardians placed starting pitcher Ben Lively on the 15-day injured list with a right flexor tendon strain. He exited Monday night’s game prior to the start of the fourth inning with discomfort in his right forearm.
When Junis finally emerged from the bullpen, he walked halfway to the mound before breaking into a light jog. Once there, he didn’t rush his warm-up pitches. He looked like, as Hoynes put it, “he was playing catch on a Sunday afternoon in the backyard.”
It’s Monday, May 12 and the Brewers (20-21) are in Cleveland to take on the Guardians (23-17). Freddy Peralta is slated to take the mound for Milwaukee against Ben Lively for Cleveland.
