Starting in 2026, Hulu will be phased out as a standalone app, with a unified Disney+/Hulu platform launching. Disney will also stop reporting subscriber numbers for its streaming services.

Disney is officially saying goodbye to Hulu, which originally launched in 2007. CEO Bob Iger and CFO Hugh Johnston confirmed that their plan is to fully integrate Hulu into Disney+ as it becomes a “unified” streaming platform.

Disney could eliminate billions in operating expenses by merging Hulu fully into Disney+ and phasing out Hulu as a standalone app and service.
