MONROE, Mich. (WTVG) - A gas leak in Monroe County sparked evacuations on Thursday. There’s a gas leak in the 600 block of John Anderson Court., west of West Lorain Street and North Telegraph Road, according to the Monroe Public Safety Department. The department said affected residents have already been evacuated.

A gas leak in a four-inch main caused the closure of several streets near downtown Georgetown and the evacuation of 388 people, officials said.

PERQUIMANS COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A gas leak caused road closures on Windfall Boulevard Thursday afternoon. According to Perquimans County Emergency Services, a natural gas line was struck in the 200 block of Windfall Boulevard. Responders and Piedmont Natural Gas were on scene and the road was closed.

Residents in Monroe were evacuated after a gas leak, the Public Safety Department said in a Public Service Announcement posted on Facebook.

Oregon Fire and Rescue has announced it is working to repair a gas leak that occurred on Thursday. OFRD says crews are working in the area of Navarre and Wheeling to fix the leak. Officials say residents may also smell an odor of natural gas.

Authorities are evacuating people near downtown Georgetown following a gas leak at Main Street and University Avenue.

Crews have isolated and topped a gas leak in Georgetown that caused traffic delays Wednesday. As of 5 p.m., Atmos Energy crews said the damaged natural gas pipeline in Georgetown is no longer an issue and that evacuation orders have been lifted.
