Kia revealed the exterior design of the upcoming PV5 electric van, the automaker’s first EV to come out under its “Platform Before Vehicle” (PBV) brand. With the PV5, Kia has declared its intention to compete with heavy hitters like the Volkswagen ID Buzz,

Kia is scheduled to reveal more about the new van on February 24, with interior and powertrain details scheduled to be released three days later. Unfortunately, due to current tariff laws, it's unlikely the PV5 lineup will make its way to the United States, so this is one vehicle we'll have to enjoy from afar.

Kia already has a people mover in the form of the popular Carnival, but where that model is car-based and petrol/diesel-powered family offering, the PV5 will veer closer to Hyundai's Staria and Staria Load twins – but with electric power.
