Cardiff have been eliminated from the FA Cup seven times across the last nine times they’ve faced sides from Yorkshire, with the exceptions being a 2-1 win against Leeds in the 2001-02 third round, and a 1-0 win over Barnsley in the 2007-08 semi-final.

The Bluebirds booked a place in the Fourth Round of the Emirates FA Cup with a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United on Thursday afternoon.

One of the goal scorers in that Sheffield win was club legend Don Murray, a Scottish defender who made more than 400 appearances for the Bluebirds between 1962 and 1975. "It was a game where I scored one of my few goals for Cardiff - I only scored about three in all my hundreds of games," said Murray, now 78.
