A tornado hit a Florida television station while the network’s meteorologist warned viewers a twister was making its way through the area.

The tornado, later given an EF2 rating by the National Weather Service, was believed to have peak wind gusts to 115 mph, equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane.

“Get to your safe space under your desk if you’re not in a designated area ... This is a tornado! Seek shelter immediately. Get under your desks, guys. Anchors, under the desks. Everybody, get under the desks,” Garner said.
