Urban Meyer joins Steve Spurrier and Doug Dickey as the third former Florida football coach elected to the College Football Hall of Fame

Former Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer has reached college football immortality. He has been elected into the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. He will be the fifth Gators head coach to be inducted into the hall of fame and will be the 14th Gator overall heading to Atlanta.

Urban Meyer will join Nick Saban in the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame class, while Michael Vick and Michael Strahan are among the former players who will be inducted. The National Football Foundation announced Saban’s selection last week and the rest of the 18-player, four-coach class Wednesday.

Meyer becomes the eighth coach from Ohio State to be voted into the College Football Hall of Fame joining other Buckeye greats Howard Jones (1910), John Wilce (1913-28), Francis Schmidt (1934-40), Woody Hayes (1951-78), Earle Bruce (1979-87), John Cooper (1988-2000) and Jim Tressel (2001-10).

Urban Meyer will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. This week, marking the 10-year anniversary of Ohio State's last National Championship win, Meyer learned he'll join Michael Vick and Nick Saban as headlining inductees.
