NASHVILLE -- Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault were on a line together during a practice session on the first day of training camp for the Nashville Predators.

On the team’s first day of training camp, high-priced free agent forwards Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault were deployed as wings on the same line, centered by Tommy Novak. On the blueline, All-Star defenseman Roman Josi was paired with Brady Skjei, the team’s third big free-agent signing of the offseason.
