The Penn State running back is coming off his first game with 100 yards rushing and multiple scores on the ground, finishing with 145 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to Iowa. Allen and Iowa quarterback Mark Gronowski are the only FBS players to rush for at least one touchdown in each of their team’s games this season.

For the fifth straight season, Ohio State is using a game against Penn State to put the finishing touches on its initial College Football Playoff resume. And for the last two years, those wins have punctuated its place as the nation’s No.

Penn State does have experience along the defensive line but boasts just one five-star talent (Dani Dennis-Sutton) in the entire starting 11. Ohio State doesn’t have a five-star offensive lineman, but everyone in the lineup is at least a third-year player.

Ohio State has struggled on the ground, ranking 71st with 151.7 yards per game. Bo Jackson leads the Buckeyes in rushing with 433 yards and nine touchdowns, followed by West Virginia transfer C.J. Donaldson, who has 249 yards and three TDs.
