On Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. the National Weather Service released a flood warning valid from 7 p.m. until Thursday 5 a.m. for Morris and Somerset counties.

A flood watch is in effect for portions of western Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. on May 14 due to potential flooding from excessive rainfall. Heavy rain could cause flooding in rivers, creeks, streams, and low-lying areas, particularly those already saturated from previous rainfall.

While the National Weather Service has lifted flood warnings for most of Hartford and Middlesex counties, Middle Haddam remained under the warning Wednesday.  Caution still was urged when walking by the riverbanks in Middle Haddam,

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a flood warning for Haw Creek near Clifford. Locally heavy rainfall of 2 to over 3 inches is causing a sharp rise in creek and stream levels and is bringing flooding to Haw Creek.

At 5:51 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released a flood warning in effect until 8:45 a.m. for Chilton and Shelby counties.
