As Peacemaker season 2 teaser highlights fresh footage, James Gunn took to social media to express his feelings about the series' shooting progress.

The second season of Peacemaker, starring John Cena, is coming in 2025. Peacemaker, the spin-off of James Gunns’ The Suicide Squad, premiered on HBO MAX in January 2022. The season finale aired in February 2022.

The first season premiered back in January 2022, earning a generally positive reaction from critics for its zany comedy and ensemble cast, with season 2 now confirmed to be coming to US streamer Max in August 2025.

Max just released a special teaser trailer looking forward to 2025’s offerings on the streaming platform. Among the series showcased are Dune: Prophecy, The Last of Us season two, and the first DCU series Creature Commandos.

Peacemaker season 2, written and produced by Gunn, does not yet have an official synopsis at this point. The new season welcomes back the original team, as well as new faces Tim Meadows, Sol Rodriguez, David Denman, and Frank Grillo as Rick Flag who we get a look at in the teaser.

After much anticipation and several delays, fans of ‘Peacemaker’ can finally rejoice. The hit DC series, a spin-off of James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’, will return for its highly awaited second season in 2025.

HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery’s in-house streaming service Max recently unveiled a teaser trailer that offered a sneak peek at several of its upcoming projects slated to release in the remaining months of 2024 and 2025.
