A new exhibition at the Chelsea museum, “ Wonder City of the World: New York City Travel Posters,” shows how the city’s image has been made and marketed over the past 120 years.

The institution, which focuses on Himalayan art, was founded in 2004 and will shutter its building at 150 W. 17th St. on Oct. 6 as it becomes "a museum without walls," according to the announcement.
