Marianne Faithfull, the British pop star, muse, libertine and old soul who inspired and helped write some of the Rolling Stones' greatest songs, died at 78 on Thursday in London.

Marianne died on 30 January, aged 78. She was in a relationship with the Rolling Stones singer between 1966 and 1970. Marianne was often referred to as the muse for the Rolling Stones, reportedly inspiring their songs Wild Horses and You Can't Always Get What You Want.
