A Rite Aid distribution center in Harford County, Maryland, is expected to lay off more than 300 workers and close its doors after the Pennsylvania-based pharmacy filed for bankruptcy for a second time.

All five Rite Aid pharmacies in Vermont are slated to close as the national chain works through bankruptcy. And for some communities, that means their town will no longer have a local pharmacy to fill prescriptions.
