Despite his desire for a new contract, there is reportedly not an expectation within the NFL that the Pittsburgh Steelers will trade superstar pass-rusher T.J. Watt.

Watt is signed through the 2025 season, but he showed in 2021 he's willing to "hold in" during training camp as a way to protest not receiving an extension to his liking.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the Steelers have no intention of trading Watt and their focus remains on extending the seven-time Pro Bowler’s contract. With the numbers Watt has been able to put up in the last few seasons for the Steelers, it makes sense why they would do everything they can to hold on to the talented pass rusher.
