Day’s Buckeyes had eventual national champion Georgia on tilt in the playoffs a couple of years ago, but the Ohio State lost a heartbreaker. Day’s record vs. Michigan is rough for Buckeyes fans to digest, but Ohio State’s leader is 60 minutes away from potentially adding a national championship to his resume.

On the other side of the ball, Notre Dame’s defense will have its hands full with Ohio State’s offense, particularly standout freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. While Texas managed to hold Smith to just one catch for three yards in the semifinals, he was unstoppable in the first two CFP games, racking up a combined 290 receiving yards.
