Hochul is expected to propose a 40% cut in the tolls already approved by the MTA, bringing the $15 base toll for passenger cars down to $9 per day, and the $3.75 late-night rate down to $2.25.

Governor Kathy Hochul's is set to make an announcement Thursday about congestion pricing in New York City, her office said.

Hochul’s congestion pricing revamp – which was confirmed by multiple sources – would lower the $15 toll on cars entering Manhattan below 60th Street originally slated to begin in June, before the governor put it on an indefinite “pause.
