By Julien Pretot MIAMI (Reuters) -Palmeiras rallied from two goals down to snatch a 2-2 draw against Inter Miami and qualify top of Group A for the Club World Cup last 16 on Monday, a result that sent both teams through to the knockout phase.

Palmeiras came from behind to play Inter Miami to a 2-2 draw in front of an electric crowd at Hard Rock Stadium, and both clubs advanced to the Club World Cup round of 16 on Monday night. A tie was enough to send both teams to the knockout round after they entered Monday's match tied atop the Group A standings with four points apiece.

Palmeiras recorded 22 total shots with seven on target, while Miami had just eight shots with three on target. Palmeiras generated 1.49 expected goals to Miami's 1.24, per FotMob, but it was a game largely dominated by the Brazilian club.
