The star pacer Jasprit Bumrah claimed four wickets to help India restrict Bangladesh to 149 in their first innings and then Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 33 runs to stretch India's lead past 300 at the end of Day 2 in Chennai.

Virat Kohli was dismissed at his individual score of 11 after he decided not to review an LBW decision that went against him. Later, UltraEdge revealed that Kohli got a nick of his bat before it hit his front pad.

Bangladesh were alive in the game and fighting when off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz troubled the Indian batters with a five-wicket haul while defending a target of just 145 runs.
