Apple has significantly raised its proposed investment in Indonesia to $100 million, a tenfold increase from its initial $10 million

Last month, the Indonesian government banned the sale of the iPhone 16 in the country due to Apple's failure to meet its promised investment commitments.  Apple had pledged to invest approximately $109 million in infrastructure and local sourcing facilities in Indonesia.

Apple Inc. has increased its offer to invest in Indonesia by almost tenfold, according to people familiar with the matter, in the US tech giant’s latest bid to persuade the government to lift its sales ban on the iPhone 16.

IDC, a market intelligence firm, notes that Indonesia is one of Apple's fastest growing markets in Southeast Asia.
