A multiday severe weather and flash flood threat continues on Tuesday, with millions of people across Texas and Louisiana bracing for storms that could produce baseball-sized hail, strong tornadoes and potentially life-threatening flooding.

An upper-level atmospheric disturbance on Thursday will be crossing through South Texas, resulting in a scattering of downpours from Matagorda Bay to Corpus Christi. Most of Southeast Texas, including in coastal areas, should remain rain-free through late Thursday morning.

Wednesday morning's storms move out of the Houston-area, though some isolated afternoon rain is possible. Temperature highs reach the low 80s.
