Frosted sugar cookies sold at Target stores are being recalled due to possible contamination with wood pieces. Here are the specific cookies affected and where they were sold.

The recall, voluntarily initiated July 22 by Give and Go Prepared Food Corps., applies to Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies sold in packs of 10 with Lot number 251915. According to the FDA, the reason for the recall was because the cookies could contain pieces of wood.

Sugar cookies sold at Target stores in 20 states and Washington D.C. have been recalled. A document on the Food and Drug Administration website shows 803 cases of 10-count Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies were recalled on July 22. Each case contains 15 packages, meaning more than 12,000 packages have been recalled.
