The Kansas City Royals have placed their top two starting pitchers on the injured list. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City Royals All-Star pitchers Cole Ragans and Seth Lugo were placed on the 15-day injured list on Saturday. Left-hander Ragans was moved to the list with a left groin strain and right-hander Lugo with a third finger sprain.

The Royals’ rotation took a big hit on Saturday when the team placed Seth Lugo (right third finger sprain) and Cole Ragans (left groin strain) on the 15-day injured list. Lugo’s IL stint is retroactive to Wednesday.
