Sarah Michelle Gellar posted on Instagram Thursday that she has been discussing a "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer" revival with executive producer Chloe Zhao and potential showrunners Nora and Lila Zuckerman.

According to early reports of the reboot, Gellar will only appear in a recurring capacity and will not be leading the series. Instead, the series will reportedly feature a new slayer, which sounds like Buffy may be serving as a mentor to the new young hero. She will also serve as an executive producer on the series.
