With less than two weeks to go before the MLB Speedway Classic, when the Cincinnati Reds will take on the Atlanta Braves at Bristol Motor Speedway, area business owners are gearing up for a boost in tourism dollars.

SBJ’s Bret McCormick visited Bristol Motor Speedway to check on the build-out for the MLB Speedway Classic being held there Aug. 2 between the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves.

Atlanta Motor Speedway is located at 1500 Tara Place in Hampton, Georgia. Just 30 miles south of downtown Atlanta. The track is located along U.S. Route 19/41 and Georgia State Route 20.

Regardless, Swift alluded to the desire to make Atlanta Motor Speedway unique among the 1.5 mile tracks on the NASCAR schedule as the prospect of repaving became more and more of a necessity.
