The dog’s owner, Tyshaun Watson, 35, was hit with an attempted murder charge for allegedly pummeling the employee, authorities said. The suspect muttered “sorry” when he was cuffed, cops said.
Watson, of Secaucus, N.J., was taken into custody inside the pizzeria and faces charges of attempted murder and assault, police told the News.
“As alleged, Tyshaun Watson brutally attacked a pizzeria manager, almost killing him. No employee should have their life threatened when they are working and serving their community,” said Bragg.
Watson, 35, stayed at the scene and was arrested. He was charged with attempted murder and assault. Attorney information for Watson was not immediately clear.
