The New England Patriots have a new head coach in Mike Vrabel, and now he needs to find an offensive coordinator to continue the development of quarterback Drake Maye

Vrabel has said he doesn’t have a timeline for the coordinator search, though interviews will likely start in the coming week.

Kelly and Vrabel also have history. They both served as members of Bill O’Brien’s staff with the Houston Texans. Caley started off as a college coach, working at John Carroll, Akron, Auburn, Iowa State, Eastern Illinois, Arkansas and Florida Atlantic before joining the Patriots staff in 2015 as an offensive assistant. He worked in New England until 2022, eventually becoming the team's tight ends coach.
