Studebaker National Museum unveiled a restored 1951 Studebaker Commander, famously known as "The Muppet Car," after an 18-month restoration.
In the 1930s, South Bend's own Studebaker car manufacturer competed in IndyCar. During the 1933 Indianapolis 500, the Studebaker number 34 competed in the race and finished a team best seventh place.
“I have to of course talk about the 34 car is part of our collection, the number 18 car and we have the number 22 car on loan to us,” said Kyle Sater, curator at the Studebaker National Museum.
From a 1924 Chrysler Six to a 1934 Airflow, there will be plenty of classic and antique cars on display, along with a chance to ride in some of them.
The Studebaker Museum is hosting its annual Concours d’Elegance event at Copshaholm. The event will feature nearly 100 classic cars from around the United States, as well India.
