The shooting happened just before 4 a.m. Tuesday on Sunset Court in San Jose's Alum Rock neighborhood. Police said that officers found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died. The suspect remains at large and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

An early morning shooting in San Jose left one person dead on Tuesday, San Jose Police said. Just before 4 a.m., officers went to the 90 block of Sunset Court after it was reported someone had been shot. Police said the victim was shot at least once, and he was taken to the hospital. He later died from his injuries, police said.

Officers were called to the 800 block of North 4th Street just before 8:15 p.m. on March 15 for a report of an attempted homicide, San Jose police Officer Tanya Hernandez said in a news release. They arrived to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
