The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team broke a 21-game Southeastern Conference losing streak this week, defeating LSU 83-67 at Mizzou Arena for its first conference victory in 669 days.

Missouri earned its first road win over a top-five team since 2012 on Tuesday as it took down No. 5 Florida 83-82 in a physical slugfest in Gainesville that lasted more than two and a half hours and featured 60 free throws.

The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team won its 13th straight home game on Saturday afternoon, beating the Vanderbilt Commodores 75-66 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. The Tigers led throughout. Vandy clawed within a point late in the game, cutting the score to 61-60 with about 5 minutes, 30 seconds remaining.

The start was in shooting terms as the Tigers connected on all the shots they wanted to build an early lead at No. 5 Florida. The finish was the angry kind of hot as that lead shrank under the fervor of high-stakes officiating reviews that led to a Mizzou player being ejected and more frustrations from the visiting team.

The No. 5 Florida Gators men’s basketball team on Tuesday dropped a late-night SEC matchup to the Missouri Tigers, 83-82, snapping a 16-game home winning streak overall and a four-game winning streak against the Tigers.

After a massive offensive output in the first half, Missouri basketball held off a Florida comeback to stun the top-five-ranked Gators in Gainesville.
