The Calgary Flames dropped their second-straight game on Tuesday night, as they fell to the Washington Capitals by a 3-1 final. This was actually a rather impressive game from the Flames, who out-chanced and outshot a team that is currently tied for first in the NHL standings.

Logan Thompson came home to Calgary, stopped 32 of the 33 shots he faced and led the Caps to another victory, 3-1 over the Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Tuesday night. For his efforts – and his 23rd victory of the season – Thompson was named the game’s No. 1 star.

The Minnesota Wild played host to the Calgary Flames on Saturday evening, Jan. 25 to end Hockey Day Minnesota. They were looking to avenge a rough 4-0 loss to the Utah Hockey Club on Thursday, Jan.
