Fires just miles apart in West Englewood have left one woman dead and another seriously injured, Chicago police said.
No one was hurt after two houses caught fire in Chicago's West Englewood neighborhood early Monday.
The new work rules for the federal food assistance program start Feb. 1 in Illinois, with state officials estimating that as many as 400,000 residents could be pushed out of the program.
