It's hard to glean too much from the Hall of Fame Game, but the Detroit Lions lacked in one of the most fundamental aspects of football: ball security. The opening kickoff was a sign of what was to come for Detroit when Grant Stuard fumbled the return,

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell was not pleased with the team during the Hall of Fame game and threatened to cut players over it.

Detroit is breaking in new play callers on each side of the ball. In terms of those operations, particularly on offense, with new coordinator John Morton -- from flow of the game to getting plays in swiftly -- Campbell said it went better than he expected out of the gate. However, the struggles between the whistles overshadowed any positives.
