The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested a former Towns County deputy for making false reports after he claimed he was shot during a traffic stop.

Emmanuel Lee Williams, 19, is wanted in connection to the shooting death of a 14-year-old in Bryan County, according to NBC affiliate WSAV. The GBI said Williams' last known location may have been in the Jonesboro or Stockbridge area. Authorities said Williams might be armed and dangerous, so avoid approaching him.

COMMERCE, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested Amber Nicole Ferguson, a former officer with the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, on two counts of sexual exploitation of children. Ferguson, a 33-year-old from Commerce, Georgia, surrendered to authorities at the Jackson County Jail on Monday, Jan. 15 at 8 a.m.

TOWNS COUNTY, Ga. — A former deputy is facing charges including filing a false report about being shot back in December, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced. Former Towns County Deputy Austin Bradburn, 26, of Blairsville, Ga. is charged with false report of a crime and violation of oath of office.

Police said they responded to the main TSA security checkpoint for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport about the firearm.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson said arrests in Georgia have been made as part of “enhanced targeted operations.”
