Two-time World Series MVP Corey Seager says he feels great and will be ready to go on the first day of spring training with the Texas Rangers after twice having hernia surgery last year.

Texas ’ star shortstop Corey Seager comes in at No. 2 on the network’s list after another good season for the Rangers. Seager, an All-Star in 2024, had an .864 on-base plus slugging (OPS) with 30 home runs and 21 doubles across 123 games last year.

MLB has come out with their positional ranking ahead of the 2025 season, and Seager was high on their list. He has been named the second-best shortstop in all of baseball, right behind Baltimore Orioles slugger Gunnar Henderson. Francisco Lindor was ranked third, Bobby Witt Jr. was ranked fourth, and Mookie Betts rounded out the top five.
