Suns rookie Ryan Dunn is using his snub from the Rising Stars Game at NBA All-Star Weekend as motivation to improve his overall skill set.
Bradley Beal started the second half for Dunn, who replaced him in the starting lineup beginning Jan. 6 at Philadelphia. Suns coach Mike Budenholzer moved Jusuf Nurkic and Beal to the bench starting that game.
Nurkic said he and Suns coach Mike Budenholzer didn’t talk for two months. This is consistent with him saying Budenholzer didn’t inform him about a decision not to play him Jan. 9 against Atlanta.
Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal will not waive his no-trade clause to go to the Chicago Bulls, a source familiar with the three-time All-Star’s thinking told The Athletic.Source: New York Times
Phoenix Suns' Royce O'Neale had 11 points and the team-high four steals as a starter in their 111-109 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.
Phoenix, who has won eight of its past 11 games, will greatly miss Dunn against the Clippers' dynamic offensive duo of James Harden and Kawhi Leonard. Los Angeles has a pretty clean injury report with Kris Dunn (left knee injury management), Cam Christie (left ankle sprain) and Jordan Miller (illness) all listed as out.
The Phoenix Suns are moving into tonight's duel against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a real shot to continue to both pile up victories while also potentially securing key tiebreakers against Western Conference rivals.
Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic hasn't played since Jan. 7 at Charlotte but was available for Saurday's game.
