Filip Forsberg scored twice to extend his goals streak to seven games, Fedor Svechkov broke a tie on a power-play midway through the third period and the Nashville Predators beat the San Jose Sharks 6-5 on Thursday night for their fifth straight victory.

Steven Stamkos, Gustav Nyquist, and Tommy Novak scored for the Predators (18-22-7), who have won five straight. Brady Skjei had three assists, and Justus Annunen made 30 saves.

SAN JOSE -- Filip Forsberg scored twice to extend his goal streak to seven as the Nashville Predators won their second straight game against the San Jose Sharks, 6-5 at SAP Center on Thursday. Nashville came from 5-1 down to beat San Jose 7-5 in Nashville on Tuesday.

The goaltending matchup featured Nashville's Justus Annunen against San Jose's Yaroslav Askarov, the Predators' first-round draft pick in 2020 who requested a trade out of Nashville last August after the team signed Juuse Saros to an eight-year contract extension. Annunen made 30 saves on 35 shots, while Askarov made 32 saves on 38 shots.

Kunin’s in the final season of his deal, earning $2.7-million AAV, and does not have any trade protection. It makes sense for the Sharks to test the trade market on all of their pending free agents.
